The Atlantic Dubai restaurant is located in Souk Al Bahar, in the heart of Downtown Dubai, offering spectacular views of The Dubai Fountain, Dubai Opera House, and the iconic Burj Khalifa. This marks the first international franchise of the renowned Melbourne-based seafood restaurant by the Atlantic Group, founded by acclaimed chef Donovan Cooke. The venue opened in January 2017 and is operated by Solutions Leisure, the Middle East’s leading nightlife and entertainment group.
The interior draws inspiration from the raw, magnetic beauty of the Australian coastline, where striking shades of emerald green water meet sand, stone, and monumental cliffs, evoking a landscape that feels both timeless and elemental.
Guests are taken on a sensory journey that reflects the brand’s ethos, “Ocean to Plate,” through a layered narrative infused with oceanic references. The bar area captures the gritty, energetic atmosphere of industrial fish harbours and bustling seafood markets, complete with the dynamism of cocktail stations and the theatre of an open kitchen. This intensity transitions into the central dining space, where the mood softens into a more serene, beach-inspired environment. Beyond, the terrace opens up to breathtaking views over the azure waters of the fountains, creating a seamless connection between interior and landscape.
In pursuit of purity and refinement, the design is focused on sensual nuances through the choice of colour, tone, temperature, and texture. Contrasts between soft, warm materials and cool, glossy finishes subtly echo the interplay of sand and sea, anchoring the experience in both elegance and authenticity.
