WAVEFORM DRAWER

I am primarily an interior designer working with upscale hospitality clients. Projects for hotels, bars and restaurants come with a multilayered context of brand, location, architecture and operational requirements. After many years of working within the constraints of a particular space, creating a product without creative limitations is a challenge in itself.

This new series of objects, in collaboration with Ango, marks a shift: the pieces are released from their architectural setting and allowed to exist as autonomous objects. The absence of limitations allows me to manoeuvre within the comfort of my preferred aesthetic and design language.

I am always drawn to objects with a clearly defined purpose. The chest of drawers embodies my pragmatic and purist sensibility. Geometry is shaped by function, proportions are defined by use, and construction is treated with rigorous precision. Reduction becomes a method, and attention to detail a consequence of structural logic.

Ango is a manufacturer of high-end custom joinery and furniture that combines traditional craftsmanship with advanced digital fabrication. Ango develops projects in dialogue with architects, interior designers, and creative practitioners, refining their concepts with technical precision and structural integrity.

SHOW NOT SHOW  | INSERT [CONCEPT] HERE

Explore the concept to rethink the object. We invite you to look beyond the object, to trace the invisible thing called concept. Each designer has their own relationship with this. A concept can be a starting point, a reflection of intuition, an inspiration, or even an explanation. We explore the concept of “concept” as an invisible carrier of the work in an immersive presentation.

The members of SHOW NOT SHOW are Frank Penders, Lucas Zito, Marc Meeuwissen (Dear Objects), MOKKO (Aad Bos), Studio Fabius Clovis (Pepijn Fabius Clovis) and Studio Luuk van Laarhoven. For this occasion, SHOW NOT SHOW invited Aleksandra Adamchyk.

The Gallery by Collectors Network invited SHOW NOT SHOW to present during Rotterdam Art Week. The exhibition is in the Kaapkwartier District under the Bayhouse next to the new Dutch National Museum of Photography.

Collectors Network is the premier platform for vintage design enthusiasts. In 2025 they opened The Gallery by Collectors Rdam in the Kaapkwartier district, beneath the Bayhouse. There they created an inspiring space where vintage design, art, and culture converge. Each unit in The Gallery is filled by a selected dealer and tells its own story – from iconic classics to rare finds.
